ADHD & Learning Evaluations

When a child is struggling to focus or to learn, the first step is understanding why. Our evaluations identify what is getting in the way and give families and schools clear, specific recommendations.

Serving children and families from the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Santa Rosa, and across Northern California at our Napa office, with evaluations also available by telehealth in California, Washington, New York, and Texas.

What we evaluate

Support at school

Our reports are written to be useful at school. We provide recommendations for classroom and testing accommodations and support for IEPs and 504 Plans. We also provide Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs).

Getting the diagnosis right

Attention problems can stem from ADHD, anxiety, sleep difficulties, a learning disability, or a combination. Careful testing tells these apart, so the plan addresses the real cause.

What to expect

  1. Initial conversation. We talk with you about your concerns, whether an evaluation is the right fit, and what records will help.
  2. Parent interview and records review. We gather developmental, medical, and school history and, with your permission, input from teachers and other providers.
  3. Testing with your child. Your child completes engaging, standardized activities, paced with breaks so we see their best effort.
  4. Feedback and report. We meet with you to explain the results in plain language and provide a written report with clear recommendations for home, school, and treatment.
