A careful autism evaluation answers an important question, whether a person meets criteria for autism spectrum disorder, and goes further to show what support will help them thrive. We evaluate toddlers from 12 months of age, children, teens, and adults.
Serving families and adults from the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Santa Rosa, and across Northern California at our Napa office. Evaluations for toddlers are in person only; evaluations for older children, teens, and adults are also available by telehealth in California, Washington, New York, and Texas.

Looking at the whole person
Autism often overlaps with ADHD, anxiety, depression, or learning differences. Our evaluations look at the full cognitive, emotional, and developmental picture, so the diagnosis is accurate and the recommendations fit the person, at any age.
What to expect
- Initial conversation. We talk about your concerns, whether an evaluation is the right fit, and what records will help.
- Interview and developmental history. We gather developmental, medical, and school history from parents or caregivers and, for adults, from the person being evaluated and, with permission, family members who knew them as a child.
- Assessment. Play-based observation and structured activities for young children; standardized testing and interviews for older children, teens, and adults.
- Feedback and report. We explain the results in plain language and provide a written report with clear, individualized recommendations.
